Introduction
When using TT Payroll on our cloud platform SafeHost, you may wish to save or download reports or files to your local computer. For this to work, you must ensure that all drive & path names in TT Payroll correctly specify the drives and paths on your local computer (sometimes known as the 'client' computer).
Local Drives & Paths
To specify the location of a local drive and path, replace the C:\ part of the path to \\tsclient\C\. For example, on the Company screen change this:
to this:
You can also use drives other than C:\ if you have them. For example, change F:\Accounts\BACS.csv to \\tsclient\F\Accounts\BACS.csv.
For Apple computers you may need to specify \Documents on MyComputer-iMac\BACS.csv instead.
The path also applies to the location where PDF files are automatically saved to, as specified under the Email tab on the Company form here:
Note that when the PDF file is saved the COMPANYCODE will be replaced with the actual code of the company selected in TT Payroll. When saving payslip reports, the YYYY and MM will be replaced with the year and month of the current payroll. This will make saving reports quicker and easier, especially for users with many companies.
SafeHost Paths
The T:\ drive can be used to save files to the SafeHost cloud platform, but you will not be able to open Word or Excel files from SafeHost. Please download files to your local computer before trying to open them in Word or Excel.
