Purge Feature for GDPR

A new Purge screen can be used to delete all employee, adjustment and payslip data for leavers. The age of the leavers, a purge log and the purge action itself are available from the new Purge screen under the TT Database menu:

Individual leavers can also be purged manually from the Employee screen when a leaver is displayed using the Purge button at the bottom right:

This is useful when a leaver exercises their right to be forgotten under GDPR legislation.

New Variance Report

The Payslip Generation screen can now produce a report that shows only those payslips where the variance in Net Pay is above a certain percentage threshold.  The variance of each payslip item is also displayed.  The report can be opened by clicking the Variance option, setting the percentage and clicking the usual Period Report button here:

Here is a sample of the report:

The Adjustment Type screen can be used to set which codes are shown in the new variance report. This is used to hide codes such as ‘SI’ or ‘Overtime’ which you may not be interested in the variance of.

New Email Method

Up to now, TT Payroll has required Microsoft Outlook to send emails, such as payslips to employees or reports to management and clients. TT Payroll can now communicate directly to your SMTP server in order to send emails directly from your mail server. The SMTP server and account details are entered on the 3rd Part tab of Company screen here:

Payslip Crosstab Reports

These reports now show negative figures in red to help distinguish deductions from allowances more easily. There is also more room in the headers so longer text can be used for each column.

Cloud / Hosting Installation option

We can now host the TT Payroll & Personnel system for you so that you can access your payroll from anywhere with an internet connection and use any device whether PC, Apple or tablet. We manage all the Microsoft Windows and Access updates, backups and hardware requirements; freeing you from IT worries and costs.

The monthly fee starts at £55 (for one user) and includes 2-factor authentication where the user authenticates any login requests from their mobile phone.

Our IT services provider, Logicalis (Channel Islands), achieved ISO27001 certification in May 2018. This means that the SafeHost platform used for TT Payroll complies with an internationally recognised information security standard on the DAAS/IAAS platforms used at the data centre facilities and premises in both Jersey and Guernsey.
