Introduction
There are 2 forms for entering absence records in TT Payroll. Both forms update each other, so just chose the one you like.
Adjustment form
Open the Adjustment form, pick an employee and enter new lines as follows;
- Code: Pick an absence code such as 'Holiday' or 'Sick'. New codes can be created as needed.
- Start and End Dates: Enter the date range for the absence.
- Units: TT Payroll will calculate the number of units (usually 'Days') based on the working days pattern and bank holidays. Note that absence units are negative numbers. You can amend the Units manually and include decimals.
- Value: Leave this blank as absence does not usually affect pay.
Yearsheet form
Instead of typing in periods of absence on the Adjustment form, you can colour in absence on the Yearsheet form, as follows:
- Pick an employee
- Click on a colour in the side panel to chose the absence code.
- Click on a day of the year to colour that day. Click on a coloured day to clear the absence.
Mouseover dark grey bank holidays or coloured days for more details. The employee Join and Birth dates are also shown.
To enter half days, click on a colour in the side panel again; the arrow will change, then click on the left side of a day for mornings or the right side for afternoons.
